Wabi Sabi Is a collection of photos taken in Japan during 1999 to 2001.

The words Wabi and Sabi refer to an appreciation of the ideal, and ancient beauty to be found in nature.

Within each photo there is an attempt to represent a contrast.
Some photos also contrast between each other.

The photos are presented in Galleries. With 4 photos in each gallery, click to see the full photo.

The contrast might be between old & new, dark & light, between colors, or textures, or somethings that are difficult to explain.

Sabi here means the signs of change through time and use.

Wabi here means evidence of a doubtful refinement.

Each gallery has an introductory theme which is just meant to add interest.

Because it's just a slide show, the commentary is there to liven it up.
